Quality Matters
We've set out to maximise the benefits of using Biochar, for your organisation and for the planet.

There are some fundamentals about Biochar to affirm:
-
Biochar, by itself, is an excellent medium for holding water and nutrients in the soil.
-
This means water and fertilisers are held in the soil, and not leached as much to the catchment or evaporated to the atmosphere.
-
Plants use less energy in finding water and nutrients and so they grow faster.
-
Biochar, when combined with fertiliser, causes a significant increase in soil health and plant growth rates, when compared to fertiliser alone.
-
Biochar can be applied by mixing into the soil, broadcast dry or in a slurry.
-
Biochar can reduce soil acidity.
Using Biochar
-
To improve plant growth rates and produce qualities, Biochar can be added to the soil before planting, or to the soil surface after planting.
-
To improve animal health and productivity, Biochar is added to stock feed regimes.
-
As a substitute for construction aggregates, Biochar is used, particularly in bitumen and concrete.
